I am a firm believer that there is always at least a kernel of positive meaning in even the worst situation--from death we learn to appreciate life, from adversity we learn to appreciate success and from heartbreak we learn to appreciate love.

It's easy to wallow in the dark and pity when life becomes difficult, but I've always held on to the belief that, just like a muscle, sometimes our lives must be torn apart in order to rebuild something stronger.

Helen Keller is the ultimate example of someone who could have easily succumbed to the difficulties that she inherited, but she chose to not only learn and grow but to help others better themselves.

This quote helps keep me focused and faithful even in the darkest of times.
