Psalms 30:5 King James Version

by Veronica Williams
(Chicago, IL, USA)

"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."

--Psalms 30:5

This is one of the many books written by King David. For me personally, this Bible quote has gotten me through many a hard time in my life. I feel moved to tears as I speak about it.

The idea of joy coming in the morning isn't one that means it is coming the next day. It is a symbolic statement that says pain will not last forever. Each of our own personal "mornings" come in their due time.

This passage has motivated me to have faith in life, myself, and the good of people who are part of my life. It has driven me to realize that the sorrows of life are simply things that teach us specific lessons and make us stronger people.

This Bible passage is one that I hold near and dear to my heart. Had I no knowledge of it, I may not be here now. It is a reminder that we as people are not alone in our suffering. It is a reminder to me that life will go on with both birth and death.

It inspires me to live for today and not worry so much about tomorrow. No one knows what tomorrow brings.
