What this part of the song means to me, is that if you don't take chances in life, take risks, and try new things, you will miss out on your dreams. For me it motivates me when something seems out of reach, too hard, or I risk failing.

For example, I was considering going back to school to get my Master's degree. I could have listened to people who told me that it’s impossible to do since I work full time and have three kids. Nevertheless, I have pursued it anyway and found an online program that is one night a week and my work is paying for.
