"Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be."

--Robert Browning

This marriage quote is taken from a poem by Robert Browning called "Rabbi be Ezra."

I discovered it while reading a James Herriot book and used it at my own wedding in 2004.

To me it sums up all that a marriage should be about, growing together, working hard at the relationship and making sure that every day is more special than the previous one.

This growing process should continue for the rest of your lives, and continue to evolve to meet all the demands that life can bring to bear upon you. A marriage is based on love, and love is like a shark, unless it is continually moving forward, it dies.

What an amazing marriage quote Henry, thank you.

I'm sure you made your wife very happy when you used this quote at your own wedding.

And I agree with you 100% when you say that marriage should be about growing and working together through the years. Building a strong relationship should be the priority of any marriage.

The couples that are able to do that, are the ones that stay married until the end of their days.

Thanks again for this remarkable marriage quote!
